Cosmetic Butchery

Labiaplasty: the surgical alteration or removal of the inner lips of the vagina.  The designer vagina (risks: infection, lesser sensitivity, colour differences, scar tissue).

Barbie Labiaplasty: Removal of the entire visible labial margin. Safety issues: ending up with an “awful” appearance, sexual pain and “nothing there”.

Breast augmentation

Mastopexy (Breast lift)

Lip augmentation (the facial ones)

Pubeless genitals

Pubic hairstyles

Anal bleaching

Penoplasties (penis extensions)

Ken Penoplasty:  (see Barbie labiaplasty: leaving nothing there…nice and clean looking) (kidding, unfortunately…).

Gluteoplasty (butt implant)

Lipo suction

Chin Implant

Rhinoplasty

Cheek Augmentation (the facial ones).

Body contouring

Abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck)

Botox and Bro-tox

Fat injections

Skin tightening and skin removal

The American College of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons recorded 2,140 vaginal rejuvenation surgeries in 2010. The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons estimates that 5,200 procedures are performed annually. While this is markedly less than breast augmentation surgeries, over 300,000 of which were performed in 2011, the figures are alarming given the relative newness of vaginal rejuvenation procedures-the first recorded labiaplasty occurred in 1984, but the surgery remained relatively obscure until the late 90s-and the lack of auditing and regulation in the field. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the vaginal rejuvenation industry was worth around $6.8million in 2009. This number is now undoubtedly much higher and does not take into account any procedures performed by gynecologists.

  1. Hmm. Bit triggery. The OW has enormous labia minora. So much so that he says it is a little off-putting. Not so off-putting that he didn’t love to ….. Now, I think everyone looks like they do. Including genitalia. But that image of her is not one that does me any favours! I just see disease and “meat” because of that. The “flaps” are neither good, nor bad, it’s just that they exist, and I know how distracting her vulva is in general, the size of everything conjures up images of Dumbo! But it isn’t cute, nor funny!

    1. This coming from you is funny…you are entitled!
I placed the info as there is this trend toward becoming plastic. With the increase in porn watching by both males and females, the latter, in particular have indicated to feel not normal…the cosmetic butchers bite into this lack of confidence $$$
and now…you place that flappy vision out of your mind and have a great evening 🙂

  2. T’is tomorrow afternoon here, Dr E! Workplace distractions 😉. Ms Flaps is actually a bit of a source of ridicule in my mind. However, I try not to as we are all anatomically different – and I should HATE it if one of my own daughters felt odd about their own anatomy! I do try to give the OW that. (Doesn’t stop images of her vagina swallowing him whole, face first, Pink Floyd , The Wall-stylz!) Hehehehe.

  3. Using humour is, according to Freud an adaptive defense mechanism. Freud had a lot not correct, but this one, he had…and I think we all can do with a laugh considering….the mess we are in at times.

It is indeed the younger generation I think will be affected by the “looks” obsession. Not all, of course, as e.g. at universities there are projects in celebrating being different. The less educated and addicted to reality t.v might be more affected and if the males watch porn (or both do), they may expect certain looks and behaviours that are just not realistic.

So, you are one of those persons using Internet during work-time? I guess I am to blame.
    Thanks for the laugh.
