There are different types of inequality. Although equality is a core value of the Western world, we are far removed from having achieved a satisfactory level of equality. In our world, we have gender and income inequality and a lack of opportunity for groups of people to achieve a desirable and comparable Social Economic Status to others within their country of citizenship.
There is a relationship between inequality and happiness. Those who experience any form of inequality are less happy.
When looking at subjective well-being, two measures are used, GDP per capita and inequality. Results show that happiness is inversely related to income inequality. Interestingly, other studies show that inequality is negatively correlated to economic growth. “…even growth is happy growth and uneven growth is unhappy growth” (Richard Florida, 2015).

Why is Denmark the happiest country?
…and even for those fortunate to be reasonably well off, sufficiently so to be able to travel as “equals” using airplanes as their preferred way to commute, airlines have invented yet another way to create inequality. This shows me that there never will be equality, simply because too many in our society simply love to be treated better than the rest.
