POST 81: NO BITCHES AND HOES

One of my thoughts associated to the entire Weinstein saga, and related to my previous posting, is how consumers can use their influence in being part of the solution.  I perceive sexual harassment as part of a wider problem of toxicity in the world, and therefore also in the workplace. Companies that have employees engaging in any form of harassment have a duty to prevent issues as well as fix problems. Sensitivity training in the workplace is one important option to be considered. The best programs encourage participants to become aware of their behaviour.

Considering the  enormous popularity of Hip-hop (Rap), I am wondering what choices are open to those who like the genre, but not the lyrics…

Here is a challenge and an invitation: I would like to compile a list that consists of great music that shows respect for women and relationships. Please add your favorites…

Here are my choices:

Aretha Franklin: Respect (1967)

U2: The Sweetest Thing (1987)

Beasty Boys: Sure Shot (1994)

Savage Garden: Two Beds and a Coffee Machine (1999)

Robbie Williams: Better Man (2000)

George Thorogood: Treat her Right (2009) For the title :)!

Drake featuring T.I and Swizz Beatz: Fancy (2010)

Alicia Keys: A Woman’s Worth (2012)

    1. I like the Pink song “stupid girls”, in particular the part where she sings “what happened to the dream of a girl president”
“Mmm, yeah what happened to that one?”
